<jats:title>ABSTRACT</jats:title><jats:p>Determinations of doxycycline 50% inhibitory concentrations (IC<jats:sub>50</jats:sub>) for 620 isolates from northwest Thailand were performed via the isotopic method, and the data were analyzed by the Bayesian method and distributed into two populations (mean IC<jats:sub>50</jats:sub>s of 13.15 μM and 31.60 μM). There was no significant difference between the group with low IC<jats:sub>50</jats:sub>s versus the group with high IC<jats:sub>50</jats:sub>s with regard to copy numbers of the<jats:named-content xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" content-type="genus-species" xlink:type="simple">Plasmodium falciparum</jats:named-content><jats:italic>tetQ</jats:italic>(<jats:italic>pftetQ</jats:italic>) gene (<jats:italic>P</jats:italic>= 0.11) or<jats:italic>pfmdt</jats:italic>gene (<jats:italic>P</jats:italic>= 0.87) or the number of PfTetQ KYNNNN repeats (<jats:italic>P</jats:italic>= 0.72).</jats:p>
