Characterisation of allergic reactivity to fungi in a Zimbabwean population

Studies on allergy in African populations are sparse and there is a paucity of data on fungal allergies. This work is driven by the need to collect immunoepidemiological data to understand the nature of fungal allergy in Zimbabwe. The study comprises of analysing serological reactivity to fungal allergens and relating this to host and environmental factors including host age, sex, co-infection with schistosomes and gut mycobiome.
