Our alumna Dr Claire Keene (cohort 2017-18), Medical coordinator - Médecins sans Frontières, collaborated on the conversion of a recreational centre into a field hospital for patients infected with COVID-19 in Cape Town, South Africa.

This field is a test case to assess whether this is the best course of action to contain the virus and if successful, it might be a model to adapt to the whole continent.
