The first-ever dedicated academic conference on Medicine Quality & Public Health took place in Oxford, United Kingdom, from 23 \u2013 28 September 2018. It brought together people from a diversity of sectors working in this field, such as public health, national regulatory authorities, pharmacy, biomedical, chemistry, law, ethics, cultural and social sciences, the pharmaceutical industry, international organisations, NGOs, national procurement centres, and internet and pharmaceutical forensics. The Oxford statement was released shortly after the conference \u2013 read more below. A fuller statement will be published in 2019.
\n \n\n \n \nThe MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine is a full-time one-year multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary programme examining major challenges to the health of populations in resource-limited contexts. The course embraces the breadth and complexity of global health challenges facing resource-limited settings, and equips candidates with the tools and awareness to contribute to innovative solutions.

\n \n\n \n \nTackling infectious diseases, which kill many millions of people every year, is one of the greatest challenges of the 21st century. Researchers at the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health are researching solutions to the increasingly urgent problems these diseases cause.
\n \n\n \n \nThe Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health is part of the Nuffield Department of Medicine, Medical Science Division at the University of Oxford. We employ 210 staff in Oxford and over 2,000 overseas, at three Wellcome Programmes in Kenya, Thailand and Vietnam. Our research is funded by 280 active awards, from 50 different sponsors, and covers a wide range of mostly infectious diseases.
