Mike English: Implementation - Battles with theory
Mike English takes us through how one's knowledge translates to practice, theories on how people go about adopting correct practices and how various people respond and adopt to new things and ideas. This presentation explores how behaviour is shaped by a number of factors and ultimately how these can influence how health care workers perform in clinical settings.
Professor Mike English leads the Health Services Unit at the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme in Nairobi, Kenya. This unit aims to strengthen equity in access to affordabe quality health care in Africa. Studies are based on health systems clustered around five main topics: malaria, service delivery & access, information for decision making, governance and financing.
Professor English leads efforts to develop multidisciplinary links with Oxford through the Health systems collaborative (HSC).
