Preliminary studies into the potential measurement of the (anti)deuteron production cross-section in proton-proton collisions at LHCb are presented. The expected (anti)deuteron yield is seen to be low relative to other charged tracks, but the excellent particle identification capabilities of LHCb may ensure that a measurement is possible.
