IHTM Research Placements
The third, or Trinity term, of IHTM involves an eight-week placement with a global health project in a resource limited setting. Travel and accommodation for the placement is funded by the course. Projects represent the range of subjects covered in the course and the project forms the basis of an independent 10,000-word dissertation to be submitted six weeks after the return from placement.
Many of the projects are hosted by the Oxford Tropical Network in various geographic regions. Projects change from year to year depending on research currently underway. Below are a list of the research project placements undertaken by the 2023 - 2024 cohort of IHTM students.
