Below are answers to some of the frequently asked questions about our course.

I DO NOT HAVE ONE YEAR’S EXPERIENCE IN A RESOURCE-LIMITED CONTEXT. CAN I STILL APPLY?

The majority of our successful applicants have more than one year of experience. You are welcome to apply but note that your application will be less competitive.

I DO NOT HAVE ONE CONSECUTIVE YEAR’S EXPERIENCE IN A RESOURCE-LIMITED CONTEXT. CAN I STILL APPLY?

The one-year requirement, preferably after completion of an undergraduate degree, does not need to be consecutive and it can be obtained in more than one organisation. However, the more experience you have the more competitive your application will be.

What level of English do I need to apply for the course?

This course requires proficiency in English at the University's higher level. If your first language is not English, you may be required to provide evidence that you meet this requirement.

Visit the University of Oxford's language guidance page for more details.

Am I eligible for an English language test waiver?

Visit the University of Oxford's language guidance page for further details on English test waiver eligibility and process.

I can’t pay the application fee. Am I eligible for an application fee waiver?

Visit the University of Oxford's guideline page for further details on application fee waivers for candidates from a low-income country and UK applicants from low-income backgrounds.

SHOULD ALL REFERENCE LETTERS BE ACADEMIC?

Three referees are required and they should include both academic and professional referees.

Your references should support intellectual ability, academic achievement, motivation to work in a resource-limited context, ability to work in multi-disciplinary groups, as well as proven and potential global health leadership.

I AM UNSURE HOW TO FILL IN CERTAIN FIELDS IN MY APPLICATION, CAN YOU HELP?

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I APPLY?

After you submit your application, it will be reviewed by the Graduate Admissions office to make sure that it is ready for assessment. The Graduate Admissions Office will contact you if details or documents are missing.

Do not wait until the last minute to submit your application! Applications received after the deadline has passed will not be considered. You need to ensure you have time for troubleshooting if needed.

Ensure you submit your application on time, with all the necessary supporting documents, and that you have paid the application fee.
