Dr Adeniyi Aderoba has extensive experience in strategic health leadership and providing technical support to countries, conducting collaborative research, implementing public health projects, and leading civil society organizations.

Prior to his current role, Dr Aderoba worked with the regional government in Nigeria, where he led a referral maternity department as part of a government safe-motherhood program.

Dr Aderoba was a 2017-18 Hubert Humphrey Fellow in Public Health Policy and Management at the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University. He is a medical doctor who qualified from the University of Benin, Nigeria and holds an MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine from the University of Oxford. He also has specialist postgraduate fellowships in obstetrics and gynaecology from the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria and the West African College of Surgeons.
