Alex Muikamba

Alex supports the grant management of the Oxford Tropical Medicine Unit. He is responsible for managing pre and post -award grant activities, preparing and costing grant applications, and ensuring compliance with funder terms. His role involves timely submission of applications, oversight of a complex research project portfolio, financial administration, collaborating with stakeholders and liaising with funders, maintaining knowledge of terms and conditions, and facilitating audits. He is adept in financial management, monitoring budgets, addressing variances, and provides regular reports. Additionally, he coordinates with external collaborators, handles contractual agreements, and offers support to the broader team in managing the grant portfolio within NDM.
