Scientific Manager - Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) Modelling Consortium
Dr Andreia Vasconcelos is the scientific manager of the Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) Modelling Consortium since April 2019. Andreia is responsible for liaising with key stakeholders and the coordination of the consortium research activities to ensure an effective and dynamic response to the stakeholder’s requests. Andreia’s background is Chemistry and Materials Science. After a PhD in Biological Engineering and a postdoctoral role, she spent 4 years as chief scientific officer in a medical devices company, leading the development of a novel vascular graft for haemodialysis access applications.
