Jahirul worked as a Program Manager for Bangladesh’s National Malaria Control Program (NMCP) from September 2009. While there, he was responsible for implementing the Global Fund-supported malaria control program and the Bangladesh government-funded malaria and dengue control programs. He obtained his MSc in Tropical Medicine from Bangkok’s Mahidol University in 2007. 

A research physician and PhD, Jahirul also teaches advanced biostatistics as a part-time faculty member of North South University. His current research is focused on mathematical modelling and epidemiological analysis for malaria elimination in Bangladesh.
