TRANSFERS

Flights: Delegates are requested to book their own flights and transfers to and from Oxford. We would suggest booking your flights in and out of London Heathrow (LHR) or London Gatwick (LGW) as both airports have bus and train transport links to Oxford.

Bus Transfers : The most convenient way to travel from the London Heathrow and Gatwick Airports is to take the Airline bus. Once you have collected your baggage please follow the signs to the central bus stationYou will need to purchase a period return ticket, which allows a return within three months. You can pay with Euros or US Dollars for the tickets but only notes are accepted (no coins). Alternatively you can purchase tickets at least 36 hours in advance via link  . Take the bus to the end stop Gloucester Green.

Departures from Heathrow (90 mins approx.): Departures from Gatwick (2 hrs approx.):
Terminals 1, 2 and 3, Central Bus Station stand 15 South Terminal Lower Forecourt (stands 1&2)
Terminal 5, stand 10 at the arrivals concourse North Terminal Lower Forecourt (stands 4&5)

Train Transfers from London Heathrow

Heathrow Express: This service takes you directly from the airport to London Paddington where you can catch a connecting train to Oxford.

Tube/Underground route: This is a cheaper but more complicated option: take the Piccadilly line (blue line), change at Earls Court onto the Central (yellow) or District (green) lines (towards Edgware Road) – disembark at Paddington Railway Station where you can catch a connecting train to Oxford. Tube connections can be found via link .  Journey time: 1-2 hours, return ticket prices: £30-£60 depending on the time of day.

Train transfers from London Gatwick 

Gatwick Express: Take the Gatwick Express train from the airport to London Victoria Station. Then take the Tube/Underground to Paddington via the Central (yellow) or District (green) lines (towards Edgware Road) – disembark at the Paddington Railway Station where you can catch a connecting train to Oxford.  Tube connections can be found via link . Journey time: 2-3 hours, return ticket prices: £30-£60 depending on the time of day.

Oxford Bus Station: To locate the taxi rank walk across Gloucester Green square to the right hand side, it is on St. Georges Place outside the ‘Angrid Thai Canteen’. (Journey cost approx. £10).

Oxford Train Station: There is a taxi rank outside with large black London Taxis. (Journey cost approx. £10).
