IHTM alumna, Wahdae-Mai Harmon, talks about her work post the MSc in IHTM.

Having worked as a clinician during the Ebola outbreak in 2014-2016 in Liberia, Wahdae-Mai Harmon grew increasingly convinced of the need for change in the public health system in Liberia. Believing that she could have more impact on a larger scale in this arena, she changed careers and moved into public health. This change in direction led Wahdae-Mai to IHTM. In this impact story, Wahdae-Mai talks about how the MSc helped her affect change in her work post the course, setting up a master’s to train health workers and shaping evidence-based policies and interventions to foster improvements in SRH services.
