Claudio Nunes-Alves
Science Writer
Claudio Nunes-Alves (PhD/MPH) is a science writer for the Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) Modelling Consortium since December 2023. After completing a PhD and postdoc studying tuberculosis immunity, he worked as an editor for Nature Microbiology and then as an editorial consultant helping scientists to write about their work, publish and secure funding. Claudio is passionate about microbes, immune cells and public health, and is interested in helping to advance research on strategies - like antimicrobials and vaccines - aimed at preventing, controlling and eradicating infectious diseases.
