For 15+ years, Moses has spearheaded data-driven health solutions across Africa, Asia, South America, and the USA, blending cutting-edge research with deep government engagement to strengthen health systems against emerging threats of infectious diseases and climate change.

Currently, he is working on a novel project to understand the risks of climate change on the Kenyan health system, focusing on the vulnerability of health facilities and the populations they serve.

By disentangling complex community and health system social and health networks, Moses also seeks to generate empirical evidence on the impacts of thermal stress (heat and cold) on the interconnected quality of life of pregnant mothers, children, and health care workers living in the most vulnerable settings in Kenya.

His ultimate aim is to translate this evidence into actionable, community-centered policies and interventions that build resilient health systems capable of protecting the most vulnerable from the escalating climate crisis.

Securing our health amidst climate change

Moses explores how climate change impacts population health and health systems in Kenya. The multidisciplinary project examines policy gaps, facility readiness, vulnerability of populations, community perspectives, and economic costs, aiming to inform pragmatic, community-informed interventions that build resilient health systems in the face of climate adverse weather events.
