Dr Sudeep Adhikari is a dedicated medical doctor specializing in Internal Medicine and Oncology, with a strong commitment to advancing healthcare through clinical research and medical publications. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency in Nepal in 2020, and followed that by Fellowship in Medical Oncology and MRCP (UK) postgraduate diploma. He is currently a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, and working as a Clinical Lead at Oxford University Clinical Research Unit Nepal from July, 2025.
After years of practice as a physician in different parts of Nepal including in the rural areas, Dr Adhikari has identified critical evidence gaps in clinical practice pertinent to low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) setup. He is particularly passionate about addressing such gaps, advocating for context-specific research led by local physicians. His primary research interest lies in acute undifferentiated febrile illnesses (AUFIs) which are endemic in South Asia, such as typhoid, typhus and dengue fever, with the aim of improving their diagnosis and management.
