On 17th March, ERGO's own Catrin Moore paid a visit to the budding scientists at Freeland School. There, pupils had the opportunity to learn about vectors and the diseases that they carry, getting a close look at specimens of ticks and mosquitos under a microscope.
The children also diagnosed disease using an Enzyme Linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) similar to the one used to diagnose Zika virus infections. And of course, our brain racetrack was as popular as ever, as scientists-in-training watched viruses race around the pathways of the brain!
