Previous Experience
Dr. Abdulazeez Imam completed a 6 year Paediatric residency training in Kano, Nigeria and received his MSc in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Leeds, UK. He is currently enrolled for his PhD in Clinical Medicine at the University of Oxford.
Over a professional career spanning about 15 years, Dr. Imam has worked in different clinical and research contexts, particularly in developing countries. He previously helped set up vaccine studies and clinical trials at the Medical Research Council Unit in the Gambia, where he led field research teams. His current research at the University of Oxford focuses on evaluating the effects of a health workforce intervention on newborn care quality in Kenyan neonatal units.
