Previous Experience:

As a Social Science researcher, Consolata’s research career spans over 6 years across different areas including maternal and child health, health systems, nutrition, food systems and social policy in low-resource settings.

Consolata’s recent role as a Research Officer at the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme (KWTRP) involved leading a complex qualitative study (Beyond Survival Study) on childbirth-induced vulnerabilities as a Research Officer and contributing to the implementation science arm of the CHAIN-Proof of Principle trial. This work directly informs her proposed DPhil research.

Prior to this she worked as a qualitative researcher for the IDRC-SME4Nutrition project examining the linkages between micro- and small enterprises and the food environment in both urban informal settlements and rural areas in Kenya.
