Teaching and Research Associate
Ken Ong is a Teaching and Research Associate for the MSc in Health Service Improvement and Evaluation programme. Before joining Oxford, he held teaching and research positions in public health and global health in Japan and the United States. Ken’s research experience includes malaria and neglected tropical diseases, particularly in Lao PDR. In addition, he was involved in research projects across different settings focusing on topics such as health behaviours, infectious diseases, and social determinants of health. Ken’s research interests are social epidemiology and global health, and he employs quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods approaches. He also has experience working with a diverse cohort of undergraduate and graduate students in Japan and the United States.
