Nayantara Arora

DPhil student in Clinical Medicine

Nayantara Arora is a full-time DPhil student in Clinical Medicine under the co-supervision of Professor Deirdre Hollingsworth, Professor Charles Newton, and Professor Ben Lambert. In her doctoral work, Nayantara is interested in exploring the intersection of neuroscience, neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), and infectious diseases. Her DPhil studies are graciously supported by the Rhodes Scholarship, which she was awarded in 2024. 

Before her doctoral research, Nayantara graduated with a BS Honors in Neuroscience, with minors in Global Health and Chemistry from the University of Oregon. Her previous research investigated global health biomarkers in Tunisia, cognition, and the relationship between the vasculature and Alzheimer’s disease. Nayantara is passionate about equity and human rights, and how these can be approached through empathy and research.

In her free time, Nayantara enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring nature, and trying new food.
