Dr Tamalee Roberts

Dr Tamalee Roberts is a Research Microbiologist and Data Manager working at the Lao-Oxford-Mahosot Hospital Wellcome Research Unit (LOMWRU) in Vientiane, Laos in collaboration with the Mathematical Modelling Group (MAEMOD) at the Mahidol Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU) in Bangkok. Tamalee spent 10 years working in clinical diagnostic microbiology and parasitology in Australia before pursuing her passion for developing research and diagnostic capacity in LMICs. She has a PhD in Molecular Parasitology.
Tamalee currently works on developing and supporting new databases for storage of quality data from large multi-center studies, assisting the clinical microbiology laboratory in LQMS documentation and implementation in lines with ISO 15189, as well as collaborating on several research projects on antimicrobial resistance, rickettsial and zoonotic diseases, and leishmaniasis.
