Mudji E’Kitiak Junior, MD, MMed (Family Medicine) is a Congolese physician and PhD candidate in Health Service Improvement in Low- and Middle-Income Countries at the University of Oxford. He also holds an MSc in Global Healthcare Leadership from Oxford and a Master’s degree in Family Medicine and Primary Health Care from the Protestant University in Congo.
Based at Vanga Evangelical Hospital in the Democratic Republic of Congo, he serves as Coordinator of the Family Medicine Residency Programme, Chief of the Research Department, and lead for Infection Prevention and Control and Antimicrobial stewardship. His work combines clinical care, health systems strengthening, research leadership, and postgraduate medical education in resource-limited settings.
Dr Mudji has led and contributed to numerous clinical trials, observational studies, and quality improvement initiatives, particularly in infectious diseases, maternal and child health, antimicrobial resistance, and health systems improvement. He has published extensively in leading international journals, including The Lancet Global Health, BMJ Global Health, PLOS Medicine, and Transactions of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
