The IHTM 2024/25 cohort rounded off their year of study with a Graduation Retreat at Ardington House on Monday. This elegant Georgian stately home, nestled in peaceful parkland in the village of Ardington, beneath the North Wessex Downs, provided the perfect setting for thoughtful reflection, celebration, and farewells.
The afternoon was dedicated to constructive feedback discussions, focusing on students’ experiences of the course, as well as reflections on their placements and dissertations.
These conversations offered fresh perspectives for the programme’s ongoing development while allowing students to share their individual journeys. Breaks in between offered time to enjoy the landscaped grounds and mingle informally with fellow students, tutors, course administrators, and supporters of the programme, who had joined for the occasion.
Students also had personal time to reflect, revisiting letters they had written to themselves at the very start of the course; an exercise that reminded them of their early hopes and aspirations, and a chance to see how far they had come.
An alumni induction, welcomed the graduating class into the wider global IHTM alumni network, and as the sun set, the group assembled for their Graduation Ceremony. This was a symbolic milestone marking the completion of their time with IHTM. Formal university degree ceremonies will take place later in the year.
The day concluded with a farewell dinner, providing a final opportunity to celebrate their collective achievements and the many friendships built along the way.
