We have added two fascinating new podcasts to the IHTM series - Unpacking the Fundamentals of Global Health: Towards a New Generation of Leadership.

IHTM teachers Naima Nasir and Carine Asnong during a podcast recording.

The first podcast features Carine Asnong, an IHTM Senior Teaching and Research Associate, who charts her career in global health and the experiences and influences that have shaped her journey. Carine has worked with vulnerable communities and young people in Europe, Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. In this fascinating insight into a career in global health, Carine is interviewed by colleague and friend, Naima Nasir. Naima co-leads the new IHTM Life Course module with Carine and is also studying for a DPhil at Oxford.

In the second new IHTM podcast, Naima and Carine swap roles and Carine explores Naima’s views on the importance of contextual considerations in global health. This makes for interesting listening with Naima drawing on her wide-raging experience of working in Nigeria, Kenya and other countries in Africa and South East Asia, to highlight the need for a multi-dimensional approach to global health practices.
