We are delighted to announce that Abdirahman Abdi and Alice Norton have been awarded the Associate Professor title, in recognition of their research achievements, contribution to teaching, and contribution to the general work of the Nuffield Department of Medicine.

Abdirahman Abdi and Alice Norton

Abdirahman Abdi is a Senior Research Scientist at the KEMRI Wellcome Trust Research Programme in Kilifi, Kenya with a background in Biochemistry. His main interests are in understanding the host-parasite interactions important for malaria pathogenesis and immunity with the aim of developing new interventions.

Alice Norton is a Course Advisor for the International Health and Tropical Medicine masters course - focussing on global health policy and evaluation and leadership, and on the admissions, management and organisation panels and groups.
