Sophie Kang
DPhil Student
Sophie is a DPhil student based in the Mahidol-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit in Bangkok. Her research focuses on determining infectious causes of acute febrile illness in rural communities, and is part of the South and Southeast Asian Community-based Trials Network (SEACTN), a Wellcome Trust Innovations Flagship project. Prior to joining Oxford, Sophie was a researcher at the International Vaccine Institute, where she worked on Phase IV vaccine effectiveness trials and disease burden studies.
