Stephanie Nzekwu

Postdoctoral Research Assistant

Stephanie joined the Health Systems Collaborative (HSC), NDM Centre for Global Health Research as a researcher in January 2025. She obtained her PhD in Business and Management at Warwick Business School and holds a MSc (Distinction) in International Human Resource Management from the University of Manchester.

Her research uses qualitative research methods to examine the processes through which individuals navigate the organisational environments with a particular focus on professions, professional work, identity and values.  Her doctoral research focused on understanding how transitioning novice and aspiring professionals navigate and adapt to expectations violations in the Kenyan clinical environment.

Stephanie’s current work focuses on the experiences of healthcare professionals, particularly in health systems operating in turbulent contexts. As part of the HSC team, she is exploring the experience of moral distress among frontline research staff working in ethically challenging environments.
